2 cottages adjoining. Mid C16. Timber framed encased in brick,
pebbledashed and painted. Frame exposed on north gable and at rear,
with brick infill, but underbuilt in brick; old tiled gabled roof. 2:3
framed bays. 2 storeys. 2 adjoining chimneys on ridge to left of
centre, large C17 chimney on right hand gable. Painted, rendered plinth;
boxed eaves. 3 bay fronts and C19 sash windows to both. No.4 has wide
bays, half glazed entrance door to right of centre with small sash over.
No.2 has smaller bays all to left of centre, with 4-panelled entrance
door in centre bay, but with no window over. Interior:-many timbers
exposed. Large inglenook fireplace in each. Collar coupled roof and
clasped purlins.
