Small house: 1848 for the National Co-operative Land Company by F.
O'Connor, altered C20. Flemish bond brickwork on stone plinth,
chamfered top; slate roof. Three bay, 1½ room deep, single
storey. Centre bay projects slightly with gable over; half-glazed
door up 2 stone steps: narrow casement window each side; 2 light
casement in each wing, all under flat rubbed brick arches. Door
and windows late C20. Plain string course to centre gable:
slightly projecting brick courses to eaves and verge, stone
quatrefoil ventilator in gable, plain verge rafters on shaped
corbels. Central rear brick chimney only. Included principally
for historical and sociological interest; forms group with other
Chartist cottages (q.v.). Originally with 4-acre plot.
