House C16 to early C17, blue lias stone with plain tile roof and C18 ridge stacks.
Two-storey long range with one-storey and attic North end addition (The Teashop)
extending back to form L-plan. South end section is former dovecot. Main range, West
front, large gable with blank attic panel, 3-light 1st floor casement and 4-light
ground floor casement with stone frame and hoodmould. Small stone gabled half-dormer
each side, the one to right with 3-light window to former dovecot. To left, door and
2 cambered head 3-light windows. North end addition has roof hipped at angle and one
gabled dormer over former segmental arched opening converted to door with window each
side. Garden front has 2 large gables with mezzanine stair-light between. Gables
with blank attic panels, renewed 1st floor casements and original 3-light stone
mullioned window with hoodmould to left, hoodmould only over modern door to right on
ground floor. Dovecot section has to rear stone dormer gable with casement pair and
modern door. Small stone dormer gable with iron casements to right of main gables.
North end range has several flat dormers, a ridge stack on stone base and 2 stacks on
North roof slope. Various altered ground floor openings. Interior: staircase with
fine shaped head to newel post, moulded beam over principal fireplace.
