15 yards south-south-east
of south door of
Church of St George

GV II

Chest tomb for John Slade, died 1819. Finely cut sandstone, Moulded base
and double hipped capping, corner balusters, raised side inscription and
end panels with corner paterae outside oval inner panels. One of a pair
of monuments outside the south porch, the other being a chest tomb with
illegible inscription (qv).
