6/91 Nos 1 and 2 The Cross

Two adjoining tenements. C17, No 2 possibly C18, altered C20. Timber-
framed with painted brick infill, sandstone plinth and stacks, brick shafts,
tiled roof. Two framed bays to No adjoining No 2 to east with three framed
bays, aligned east/west facing south, left end entrance to No 1 and central
entrance to No 2 with lean-to addition to left, external gable end stacks,
lean-to's to rear. No 1, single storey and attic with lower roof line, half-
dormer with pair of 2-light C20 glazing bar casement windows, two 2-light
casements to right of ledged door. No 2, two storeys, two 2-light casement
windows and similar windows to ground floor flanking ledged door with canopy,
large external stack with one diagonal plan shaft. Framing: three square
panels from sill to wall-plate to No 1; irregular framing to No 2, irregular
four square panels.
