C16. Four sides of an octagonal turret, about 14 ft high, linked to a section of
walling on its east side, the structure apparently half-demolished when the canal was
constructed. Red brickwork in English bond, with blue diaper pattern above a high
plinth. Another short section of the same wall is attached to the west side of Turret
Cottage.
