SW 32 SE
7/245 Barn at approximately 55 metres
- north west of Trengothal Farmhouse
GV II
Barn, probably hayloft over stables and cartshed. Circa early-mid C19. Roughly-
coursed dressed granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate half-
hipped roof.
Plan: Rectangular plan with cartshed on the right, stables on the left and loft
over. C20 steps at right-hand end probably replace original granite steps.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Unaltered elevations with original openings. Fairly regular 3
window south west front. Large waggon doorway on the right and 3 regularly spaced
stable doorways on its left. Windows over all but the second from left doorway (now
partly blocked). Loading hatch at first floor rear opposite this doorway.
Interior not inspected.
Part of an unspoiled hamlet containing an interesting group of farmhouses and farm
buildings all set in a beautiful rural landscape.
