House, probably C17. Exterior partly remodelled in mid C19. Whitewashed stone
rubble with plastered cob upper walls. Slate roof cement-washed in part with brick
chimneys at gabled ends. Plan, 2 room with cross passage and staircase projection
at rear, extended to form L-shape on north west. Catslide roof to later C19 single
storey extension on rear. 2-storeys, asymmetrical. 3 window front. South front
with double storey gabled porch placed centrally. Ground floor, to left of porch,
C19 sash window, 2 panes per sash. C19 panelled timber door to porch. To right,
very small square window with larger C20 2-light casement window with glazing bars.
On first floor, to left of porch, C19 sash window, 2 panes per sash, with similar
windows above door in porch and to right. Unusual ovolo moulded ceiling beams
visible in hall and room to right. Closed string staircase with turned balustrades
and newel post. Blocked tunnels visible in cellar. First floor not inspected.
