- of Mary Anns and Cissys

GV II

Pair of cottages. Probably early C19. Local slatestone with dressed granite quoins
and string course. Rag slate roof with gable ends. Stone rubble end stacks.
Plan: Pair of double depth 2-room plan cottages; the entrances in the centre front
with principal rooms to right and left, heated by end stacks and narrow service rooms
to rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Pair of mirror image cottages with central entrances. 2 steps
lead up to the C19 panelled doors which are set back and have a dividing granite
slab. To left a 16-pane horned sash and to right a C19 16-pane hornless sash. The
granite lintels above the ground floor openings are joined to form a granite string
band. Two hornless C19 16-pane sashes on first floor with granite lintels.
Interior: Not inspected.
