4/26 Garden House

GV II

House. Circa early to mid C19. Rendered stone rubble. Cement washed scantle slate
roof with rendered end stack on left and truncated end stack on right.
Plan: Double depth plan with central entrance. 2 reception rooms on front heated by
end stacks with service rooms to rear.
Exterior: 2-storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front. Circa mid to late C19 rendered
gabled porch with inner C19 studded door. Flanked by 2 mullion and transom windows
with diagonal leaded lights; these windows have possibly been reused and reset add
may be of late C17 origin. On first floor two 2-light casements flank a single light
casement, all three with diagonal leaded lights.
Interior: Not inspected.
