The Close, to left, is a house, The Old Star an office. Early
C19. Red brick, off-set eaves, tiled roof, brick chimneys to
centre and right gable. 2 storeys and attic, 4 bays and central
carriage entry. 4-pane boxed sashes, those to ground floor of
right bays renewed C20. Ground floor left bay is irregular and has
canted bay window with barred sashes and C20 3-pane sash in blocked
doorway to right. 3 small gabled dormers with paired wooden casements.
The Close has flush-panelled door with rectangular fanlight to right of
centre. The Old Star has central C20 door and fanlight. Included for
group value.
