Byre of uncertain date, possibly late C18 with roof reconstructed in C19.
Small, roughly-coursed and squared rubble with clay vents. Ling thatched roof.
One storey, two bays. 2 boarded doors and 2 hit-and-miss windows. Very high-
pitched roof.
Interior divided by full-height masonry partition. At left 2 levels of log
purlins,at right 3 levels of sawn and re-used members, all laid into gable end
walls and partition. No plates or ties. 2 tiers of rough rafters, overlapping
in the middle, the upper ones nailed to a sawn ridge piece. One-storey similar
roofless left extension. Disused and dilapidated at time of survey.
