Lodge to St Michael's Mount. Built in 1885. Dressed granite brought-to course with
granite dressings. Dry Delabole slate roofs with gable ends. Outbuilt 4 stage stone
chimney to right hand gable end and axial chimney over rear wing.
Plan: irregular L-shaped 4 room plan with wing to rear middle with octagonal stair
turret in the rear right-hand angle and outshut at rear left; lean-to porch at the
middle of the front and lean-to sedilia at left (within the gateway). Tudor Gothic
style.
2 storeys with first floor rooms partly in roof space. Irregular east front.
Gateway wall qv. adjoining towards left forming the left hand wall of the porch.
Plinth, mullioned windows with hoodmoulds, chamfered wall-plate cornice, moulded
kneelers and coped gable ends. The porch has doorway, left, 2-light window, right.
Large 4-light window to reception room, right and 4-light oriel over.
Interior not inspected.
