Farmhouse. C18 or earlier. Cob with thatched roof (now covered by corrugated
iron) gable brick chimneys. 2 roomed plan (now 3). 2 storey, 3 windows. Ground
floor has 12-paned casement, 6-paned iron single casement in C20 opening, 12-paned
casement window formerly door, door to right originally window. C20 porch obscures
ground floor to right. First floor has 16-paned casement with lift-off hinges to
left, 12-paned casement over original doorway and very small 4-paned window at
slightly lower level, timber lintels. Eaves lightly raised. External cob
chimney breast to lower left side. Good cob texture at back. Upper end partly
built into hill. Interior has partly blocked hearth to left, and completely
blocked hearth to right, thick partition wall to left of present door and curved
inner face of wall at top of stairs.
