TL 3856 COMBERTON WEST STREET
(South Side)

GV II

Cottage. Probably late C17 or early C18. Timber-framed, roughcast rendered
and thatched. Grey gault brick axial ridge stack of two flues. In three
bays with possibly later C19 plan of shop in right hand end - bay and house
to centre and left hand bay. One storey and attic. Small casements to gable
ends and three windows to front wall, including one small pane horizontal
sliding sash and a boarded house door. Shop window and door to right hand.
Adjoining at the rear is a handed pair of mid-late C19 cottages. Probably
rendered clay bat on high white brick plinth, one wall has been repaired.
Pantiled and shared grey brick stack. Two flush frame small fixed light
window at first floor, and one original adjacent door and window to each
cottage.
