SW 63 SE WENDRON PORKELLIS

Former carpenter's workshop and blacksmith's shop built to serve local mines. Circa
early C19. Slurried rubble walls. Hipped scantle slate roof.
Plan: Rectangular plan built into the hillside at the entrance front with basement
under the rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys over basement. Symmetrical 3 window north entrance front with
wide central doorway. C19 ledged doors with right-hand door divided. Original 16-
pane hornless sashes to first floor opening, original 16-pane fixed light at ground
floor right and C20 window on the left. Right-hand 3 window (west front) has wide
opening to middle of basement with door and window and small window on the right.
Larger openings to ground and first floor. One original 12-pane sash at ground floor
left.
Interior: has its original floors and roof structure. There is a fireplace in the
rear wall.
