PLYMTREE ST 00 SE 3/132 Stables and coach house - approximately 3 metres west of Plymtree Manor GV II

Stables and coach house. Late C19 - early C20. Flemish bond brick; brick stack and cnimneyshaft; slate roof. Plan: L-plan building. The stables face the back of the service wing of Plymtree Manor (q.v) to the east. It includes a tack room to left with a rear lateral stack and stables to right. There are haylofts over. The coach house projects forward at right angles and faces south. Exterior: the stable front has a doorway to right and 24-pane sash to left (the tack room). Both have segmental arches over. Hayloft loading hatch in the left gable-end. The coach house has 2 full height doorways. Both wings are gable-ended. Interior: contains original carpentry and joinery detail, including the stalls.
