House. C17, with C20 alterations. Whitewashed cob on stone rubble footings;
asbestos slate roof (formerly thatched), hipped at right end, gabled at left end;
left end stack, axial stack with large shaft.
Plan: Sited in the village, a single depth range, 3 rooms wide with the entrance to
right of centre facing the stair. A very large rear right wing, possibly a converted
agricultural building is not included in the listing.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window front with a C20 front door to right of
centre. A large blocked opening to the left suggests that the left end of the house
may have been in semi-agricultural use at one time. 2 first floor late Cl9 or C20.
4-pane sashes, 1 similar sash to the left of the front door, 2-light C20 casement to
the right of the front door.
Interior: Only partially inspected. The centre room has a chamfered crossbeam and an
open fireplace with a chamfered lintel.
Group value in the village centre.
