Farmhouse, dated 1723 on lintel but probably C17 altered. Coursed
sandstone with quoins, whitewashed, stone slate roof with projecting
eaves and gable chimneys. Two bays with projecting porch and
continuous rear outshut. Two storeys (with single-storey rear);
2-storey gabled porch offset left on centre has Tudor-arched doorway
with moulded lintel lettered "1723", very small 1st floor window; to
the left the 1st bay has at ground floor double-chamfered stone
mullion windows of 2 and 5 lights (part blocked) under one hoodmould,
and at 1st floor a 9-parted top-hung casement; to the right the 2nd bay
has one similar window on each floor and a doorway next to the porch.
Left return wall, which breaks back slightly at the outshut, has
one large recessed window in the 1st part, and a small window to the
outshut, both with glazing bars. Rear wall has modern porch and 2
windows. Interior: housepart in 1st bay has 2 fine ovolo-moulded
beams with cyma stops.
