9/32 The Old Rectory

GV II


House, formerly the rectory. C18 with alterations and additions
in c.1825 and late C19. Painted red brick, slate roofs, red brick
stack and C19 brick stack. Barge boards to gables. West wing
three storeys, north-south range two storeys, modern porch to main
entrance in angle. West wing has six recessed hung sash windows with
glazing bars with gauged brick arches. Three hung sash windows
to main range; entrance door in wide eliptical headed arch. Interior
details include good closed string pine staircase.
