House and cottage (possibly formerly warehouse), now 2 dwellings. Probably
late C18, altered early C19. Handmade brick, slate roof. Double-depth,
one and 2 bays. Two storeys; No. 65 is double-fronted and symmetrical,
with central round-headed moulded stone doorway with triple keystone, two
12-pane windows on each floor, all with splayed stone heads except that at
ground floor to right which is a replacement, the wall here rebuilt.
No. 63 to left has a segmental-headed door to the left and a
segmental-headed 12-pane window on each floor. Coupled chimneys on ridge
at junction, single chimney at right gable. Rear: No. 63 has a hoist
canopy at eaves level. Listed for group value. (No. 61 adjoins at left
end, Grapes Hotel at right end, q.v.).
