House. Late C18. Hammer-dressed watershot stone, now painted,
with graduated stone slate roof. 3-storey double-depth house
which is built into the hillside. Quoins. Central door at
first floor level has dressed surround and is obscured by a
C20 porch. 1, 2 and 3-light recessed flat-faced mullion
window to front and gable. The rear has a door inserted and
conservatory added to bay 1 with a 5-light window on the
upper floor. Bay 2 has 5, 5 and 6-light windows (as above)
with one mullion missing. Ridge chimney stacks. Bulletin of
the Saddleworth Historical Society, Vol.l, No.3, 1971.
