Park House and Ye Olde
- George Public House

GV II

One block. C17, refronted c.1800. Colour-washed brick; old tile roof behind
parapet on corbelled moulded cornice. Two storeys. Seven bays, the central one
advanced and pedimented. In the pediment a blank circle. Ground floor of
pedimented bay with carriageway and quoined. Two string courses; lower one
continues under cills of first floor windows. First floor, over entrance,
semicircular window. First floor with two 1:3:1 sashes with central blocked-in
narrower window. Ground floor with shop windows. The Old George:- First floor
as Park House but with central window unblocked. Ground floor with 2 doors with
small sashes either side and a pair of sashes. Two-storey brick and timber rear
wing to Park House.
