20/19 Manor Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C17 and early C18 with C19 alterations. Timber-framed and
plastered, and painted brick. Plain tiled, C20 tiled and slated roofs. Two
storey main range modification of original three unit plan building with cross
passage and rear wing to north-east, raised to two storeys and reroofed; rear
C18 kitchen wing to south-west. Garden facade of three unequal bays. C19
panelled door with one eight-paned and one sixteen-paned wide, hung sash
windows; three first floor sixteen-paned hung sash windows. Hipped slated
roof to front with end stacks, and original roof to rear. Interior: Details
largely C19, some two-panelled early C18 doors, large cooking hearth with iron
stove made in Northampton; part of an original internal truss is visible in
the roof.
