House, c.1600, altered in C18 and C20. Timber framed, plastered with some
painted brickwork in stretcher bond on E side, roofed with red clay corrugated
tiles. 3 bays aligned E-W with axial chimney stack between middle and E bays,
C19 external chimney stack at W end. Aspect S. C17/18 lean-to extension to
rear of W and middle bays, C20 flat-roofed extension to rear of E bay. 2
storeys. C20 half-glazed door, 2-window range of C20 casements. The interior
has jowled posts, chamfered axial beams, arched brace to tiebeam severed for
inserted doorway, C20 grate in original hearth. RCHM 6.
