House, C15/16, altered in C19 and C20. Timber framed, partly brick-nogged with
exposed framing, partly plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 2-bay
hall range aligned N-S with 2 crosswings, forming a half-H plan, aspect E.
External chimney stacks to rear of hall range and on S elevation, C16/17. C17
rear extension to N crosswing. C19 single-storey lean-to extensions in SW angl
and to rear of S crosswing. 2 storeys. Both crosswings are jettied; the N
one has 3 exposed plain brackets. The walls below the jetties and the section
between have exposed framing with brick nogging, some of it original, some
reproduction. Plain halved door, 4-window range of C20 casements. The S
chimney stack has 2 octagonal shafts, shortened and rebuilt at the top. The
interior has moulded beams and joists. RCHM 16.
