Early 19C. Brick Almshouses probably rebuilt c. 1838, with slate roof. The first
few rows of masonry above ground are of rough stone in places, this may be remains of
earlier building referred to on plaque:- '"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, to-day and
forever." THESE ALMS HOUSES WERE, FOUNDED BY SIR GEORGE ST POLE KT & BART. AD 1612.'
Stone quoins. Single 3 light window to each dwelling with chamfered mullions, and
doors in pairs. 4 dormers with barge board gables in the steeply pitched roof. 3 red
brick chimney stacks.
