The original house, the east range, is early C18, L-shaped on plan. Coursed
stone rubble with steeply pitched Collyweston stone roof with stone coping to
gable ends. The south-east wing might be a slightly later addition and the north
wing was added later in C18. Two storeys and 2 storeys and attic. C18, C19
and modern casements some with leaded panes. Gabled dormers. To west of the
house a C19 parallel range added partly in stone to match and extended in yellow
brick at north end, all with Collyweston stone roofs with stone coping to gable
ends. RCHM (10) page 71.
