Barn to North-West of Far Cappleside Farmhouse

Barn. Dated 1698, with C19 alterations. Watershot masonry, stone dressings,
stone slate roof. 5 bays. Central waggon entrance has chamfered surround and
segmental arch of chamfered voussoirs. Small window to right has plain surround,
6 pane sashes. Right-hand return: 2 former entrances with chamfered jambs and
Tudor arched lintels, now partly blocked to form windows; 6 pane sashes. Interior:
Roof trusses have short King posts resting on collars. V struts to tie beams.
