Engine house. Late C17 rebuilt early C19. Brick of 2 types. Buried under mound 1m vault brick passage into series of 3 vaulted chambers, 3m wide, 1st 2 1m long, 3rd 2m long. 1st chamber by-pass leet with sluice, 2nd contains waterwheel with cast iron spokes, axle and centres about 2m diameter, and 3rd contains a 3-ram pump which supplied water to house, brewhouse and dairy.
