Farmhouse. C17 wing with additional wing dated 1745; further late C19 and
C20 alterations. Square panelled timber-framing with painted brick infill
and painted sandstone rubble later addition, tiled roof. Long range aligned
south-west/north-east with cross-wing at north-east end, axial and gable-end
stacks. Entrance to south-east front. Single storey and attic with two-
storey cross-wing. Later range to left with two gables; one 4-light and one
3-light casement window on first floor and ground floor with two 3-light
casement wndows to left of gabled porch. One 2-light and one 4-light window
in cross-wing to right; further section of main range to right with 4-light
window in gabled dormer and two 16-pane windows to ground floor. Interior
retains chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops. (RCHM, Vol III, p 168, item
