Reputed to be former Spindle Tree Inn, now 2 cottages. Late C18 with C19
alterations. Rendered, stone dressings, stone slate roof. Gildersbank Cottage:
central staircase plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central entrance has moulded surround
and cornice; 6 panel door, upper 2 glazed., Two ground floor and 3 upper floor
windows have plain surrounds; sashes with glazing bars. Left-hand chamfered quoins.
Left and right-hand ridge stacks. Spindle Tree Cottage: 2 storeys, double fronted.
Central entrance has plain surround; 6 panel door, upper 2 glazed. 2 windows per
storey, those to ground floor are slightly taller; all have plain surrounds and
sashes. Right-hand chamfered quoins. Right-hand ridge stack.
