SU 30 SE EAST BOLDRE

11/1 Hatchetts Mill

GV II

Mill, now house. Late C18, C19 additions. Brick, some yellow, plain tile
roof to older part, slate roofs to rest. Oldest part 2 storey and attic, 5 bay
lean-to at one end with low addition in front, off centre 2 bay 1½ storey wing
to front, at other end C19 3 storey wing running rearwards. Front has 1½ storey
wing to LH of centre bay with 1st floor central doorway, small casements either
side on end, external stack on LH side. 1st floor window in LH bay. 1st floor
16-pane sash in centre. To RH low 2 storey rectangular bay with hipped roof,
3-light casements, tilehanging between. In RH bay 2-light segmental head casements,
over 3-light gabled dormer. Roof ½-hipped. Ridge stack between RH bays. To
RH end gable of C19 wing. All machinery removed when mill converted.
