5/236 Upper Blackstone Farmhouse


Farmhouse. Early C18, extended late C18 with mid-C19 and some mid-C20
alterations. Brick with tile roof. Two storeys with attic lit by a case-
ment in a gable to right of centre, dentilled brick cornice; three windows:
timber cross-window under segmental head to left, a 3-light casement under
segmental head, and to right a 2-light casement under brick wedge lintel;
ground floor: two to left as above, to right a timber cross-window, entrance
under gable has a C19 gabled tile canopy on plain wooden posts, wooden archi-
trave under segmental head with 6-panel door, upper four glazed.
