House and cottage. Late C18 with earlier origins; C19 and C20 alteration
and extension. Variegated brick in English garden wall bond to centre;
squared sandstone to right; coursed sandstone rubble to left, with quoins;
coursed sandstone rubble to rear. Pantile roof with brick stacks. 2-
storey, 2-window centre front, with lower 2-storey, single window service
wing to left; single window cottage of 2 low storeys to right. Centre C20
door with overlight to house with 4-pane sashes: service wing has C20 half-
glazed door to right, and 2-light, 12-pane horizontal-sliding sashes to both
floors. Painted wedge lintels to all openings. Cottage has door of 6
recessed panels in C20 trellis porch, with 16-pane sash to right. 2-light,
12-pane horizontal-sliding sash to first floor. Painted herringbone-tooled
lintels to all openings. Painted stone sills to all windows. Coped gables
and shaped kneelers to all parts of the roof. End and centre left and right
stacks. Rear: outshut with catslide roof added to house; C20 extension to
cottage.
