Farmhouse and barn. C17, early C18 alterations, minor C20
alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and
dressings. Concrete tiled roof with raised stone coped gables
and 2 gable moulded ashlar stacks. Range to left has pantile
roof. 2 storey with garret, 3 bay front having cornice and
kneelers, off-centre 6 panel door in early C18 eared stone
architrave with stepped keyblock, flanked by 3 light C20
casements with flat heads and detached keystone over. To left a
small fireside window. To first floor a central C20 stone
mullioned 2 light window is flanked by single 3 light mullioned
windows, all with ovolo moulded mullions and leaded lights. To
left, a lower single storey with attics, 3 bay range having 2
light casement with flat head and keystone, 3 light casement with
timber lintel, C20 double doors. In the roof 3 raking dormers.
Beyond to the left a barn and stable range with 2 planked doors
under timber lintels and vertical breathers. Interior. Simply
chamfered beams with run out stops. Inglenook fireplace,
chamfered bressumer. One C18 niche with curved back, dado
panelling, limestone flagged floor, 6 panelled doors, panelled
reveals. Right hand room has full height early C18 panelling and
cupboard. Carved slate late C18 fireplace surround with urn,
scrolls and flowers. A long narrow cellar with ashlar side walls
and brick vault, and 5 shallow niches on both side walls. Timber
framed partitions to first floor. In an upstairs room an early
C18 fireplace surround with roll moulded imposts and flat arch
with curved corners.
