House, formerly a farmhouse. C17, heightened in early to mid C19. Stone rubble.
Asbestos slate roof with gabled ends and raised eaves. Plastered cob rear wing.
Rendered chimney stacks. Three room and through passage plan with rear lateral
hall stack and gable end stack heating inner room. Lower room unheated. Wide
wing at rear of higher end containing newel stairs at lower side beside hall
stack, and lean-to porch in the angle. Two storeys. Four window range. C19
casements, first floor two-light, ground floor three-light with cambered granite
arches. Glazed door to left of centre. To right of centre passage door blocked.
Short plastered cob wing at rear right with half-hipped roof and stack and lean-
to porch in the angle. Interior: Closely spaced roughly chamfered ceiling
beams in hall. Lateral hall fireplace with chamfered timber lintel with run-
out stops and monolithic granite jambs. Chamfered timber doorframe with step
stop in rear wing near base of newel stairs. Hall of passage screen suvives
on hall side with lightly moulded mortices and wide planks. Roof: Circa early
C19 roof trusses pegged at apices.
