House, now divided into 2 with shop. c.1700 and later. Brick plinth with
partly brick and rendered clay lump walls, all colourwashed. Plain tiled
roof. 2 storeys and dormer attic. Symmetrical facade. Pedimented doorcase
and 4 2-light cross casements each floor. Gabled roof above timber eaves
cornice. 3 shallow pitched dormers with casements, probably mid C18. Stepped
gables to north and south, the latter with coping tiles. Rebuilt internal
gable stacks. Cross wings added to rear : to south C18 with tumbling in rear
gable; to north C19. C20 shop at N.E. corner extending down return. Main
staircase intact in interior.
