House. Now 3 properties. C17 core with additions c.1800 and C20 alterations. Timber framed with wattle and daub infill clad in brick c.1850. Black glazed pantiled roof. Modified H plan. 2 storeys and attic. Central recessed range has 4-centred porch carried on fluted modified Doric columns. 3 C19 casements to ground floor under segmental arches and 5 casements to first floor. Gabled roofs. East wing pierced by mid C19 sashes with glazing bars. Double shop front to west wing. One gabled dormer. Rear is continuous range with giant pilasters at ends and has western portion rebated back. Selection of windows: some C20 metal and timber, one C18 casement at west. Gabled roof now with red pantiles. Fine C17 ridge stack to west on moulded plinth with punched lunettes. Dutch west gable with moulded detailing is probably C18. Tall stepped external stack now incorporated into contemporary outshut.
Interior timber framed. Chamfered beams with tongue stops. Good C17 fireplace in sitting room of eastern house (The Priory) with bressummers. Close studding and remains of timber mullioned windows. Front lounge of The Priory retains complete C17 framing. No tie beams in roof. Collars and 2 tiers staggered butt purlins.
