House. Circa 1824. Stuccoed stone. Low pitched slate hipped roof with oversailing eaves with Paired brackets to soffit. Two storeys. Three bays. Centre pedimented gable with round-arched recess and pilasters. Pairs of pilasters at either end. Sash windows with glazing bars in double and recessed openings, centre first floor with segmental head. Central round-headed doorway with pilasters, cornice and wreaths in the spandrels, and with side lights. Large semi-circular fanlight with inset rectangular fanlight with diamond and foiled pane and anthemion motif in the frieze. Two panel door. Two storeyed canted bay on right hand return. Good contemporary interior: with vaulted hall, geometrical staircase, moulded plasterwork and doorcases with Egyptian eared architraves. This house may have been designed by John Foulston.
