4/76 Unnamed house (No. 2)

House, now 2 dwellings. Mid C17. Timber framed and plastered with peg tile
gabled roof and long catslide lean-to on rear. Of 2 storeys with large square
ridge line stack, originally central to the block. This has now been extended
by one bay to the north west. Front has C20 metal casements and 2 peg tiled,
lean-to porch canopies. Internally, the well made frame is exposed, showing
typical 2 bays plus central stack/entry bay arrangement. The stack has back to
back inglenooks and 2 sets of original stairs one each side of the entrance door
and continuing up to the attics. RCHM 8.
