Whitwell Farmhouse

House. Small C17 house with circa C18 wing forming L-shaped plan. White-washed
stone rubble with steeply pitched tiled roof with gabled ends. Two storeys. Three
window range. Small C19 and modern casements with glazing bars and central plank
door. Rebuilt brick ridge stack at centre. Long wing projecting from right hand
front circa C18, one storey and attic with gabled dormers and mostly modern casement
windows. Interior of C17 range has fireplace wth stone jambs with stopped chamfers
and chamfered cambered lintel.
