SO 70 SE COALEY LEVER'S HILL

Garter Court
II
Small detached dwelling. C17. Rendered front but coursed squared rubble to back,
double-roman tile roof. Two storeys, one-windowed, 3-light stone mullioned casement
with stopped drip to ground floor, 2-light casement first floor, left. Deep set
narrow modern door, left. Two light casement to left gable, and 3-light casement with
later 2-light casement over, right gable. Ground floor appears to have been one large
room, possibly a court-room, but now divided into two unequal parts, and on back wall
part of large stone lintol to fireplace visible.
At time of survey this property appeared abandoned, but the name and the name of the
remains suggest a building of some significance to Coaley.
