Moxhayes Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse. C17 plastered stone rubble house. Thatched roof with gabled ends. Two
storeys. Three window range. Modern three light casements with glazing bars.
Modern central door with modern thatched porch. Ashlar chimney stack at west gable
end dated 1683. Rebuilt brick stack at east gable end. Small lean-to addition at
left hand of front. Outshut at rear.
Interior: Painted text, Psalm 5:3, in first floor room. Circa C17 moulded plaster
frieze in same room. In the other two first floor rooms, narrow moulded plaster
cornices.
