Pair of houses, formerly single house. C17 of at least 2 builds.
Coursed squared and rubble limestone; stone slate roof. Two-storey
with attic; chimney backing onto cross passage; lateral chimney;
single storey back wing with attic. Front: 4-centred arched
doorway with enriched spandrels; four 3-light recessed chamfered
mullioned windows with hoods. 3 in upper floor gables with very
small arched headed attic windows above; tall chimney gable. Two
2-light windows in north gable end which has raked buttresses; one
3-light in south above C20 porch and doorway. At the back a
matching 4-centred arched doorway and two 2-light windows in upper
floor gables; one 2-light and one 3-light window to ground floor.
South wall of wing: 4-light window with C19 looking attic dormer
above. All chimneys have ashlar shafts and moulded caps; cross-
roll saddles to all gables.
Interior: largely altered in C20, but contains blocked inglenook
backing onto cross passage, and a fireplace with 4-centred arched
lintel with enriched spandrels in upper floor room at north end.
