House, now pair of cottages. C17. Flint, brick dressings, C20 red pantiled roof. 2 storeys. 5 ground and 3 first floor openings. No. 53 to west has 2 3-light ground floor casement windows, central C20 door and brick dressings. 2 first floor 3-light casements. No. 55 to east has ground floor casement window,c.1900 door and first floor single casement. Brick quoins, dogtooth eaves cornice and brick coped east gable. West gable knapped and galleted flint with carstone chequerwork. First floor brick string course and 2 blocked brick dressed window openings of C17. Brick coped parapet with tumbling in. One axial and one west end stack.
