Detached house - former farmhouse. Early - mid-C18. Ironstone walls,
plastered at front. Tiled roof with stone eaves courses. Coped gable at west
end. Brick end stacks. At right angles to road. Brick gabled porch. C20 part-
glazed door. Ground and first floors each have 3 casement windows with
glazing bars. At west end, a single-storey lean-to extends in front of the
house. Rear lean-to (old dairy range) under catslide roof. Interior largely
unaltered. C18 raised panel doors. Main ground floor room has large open
fireplace with timber lintol. Bedroom over this has C18 raised panelling along
fireplace wall. Staircase appears constructed of solid timber baulks with
planted treads - producing a cut-string effect.
