Formerly a row of 5 cottages. 3 cottages to right now converted to
form Methodist Chapel. C17, with substantial alterations in C19 to
3 end cottages to form chapel. Coursed, squared and dressed
limestone with limestone slate roof and flat coping. Ashlar stack
on left gable end. Single storey with attic over cottages.
Cottage left: one C19, 2-light gabled dormer from eaves. Single 4-
light stone mullioned window with C19 metal windows with glazing
bars. Stopped hood over. Traces of red colour wash. Wide, low,
painted, plank door to right of window. Cottage right: two, C19 2-
light gabled dormers from eaves with C20 metal windows with glazing
bars. C19, three light metal window with glazing bars and painted
plank door right, all under C20 stopped hood. C19, three-light
metal window with glazing bars under stopped hood right. Methodist
Chapel: single storey two 3-light mullioned and transomed windows
with leaded panes and raised gables with flat coping over with flat
coping. Left window flanked by single lights with moulded
surrounds. 4-centred arched porchways, flush with facade, far
right and far left, with projecting flat canopies supported on
curved brackets. Painted, plank doors within. Methodist Chapel
listed for group value only.
