House, formerly 2 cottages (Nos. 43 and 45). No. 45 C18, No. 43 probably
c1800. Rubble stone walls, stone slate roofs, stone end stacks. Part
2-storeyed, part one storey and attic. Left section - no. 43 - has C20
glazed door and canopy. Ground floor has one sash window with glazing bars.
First floor has one top-hung window with glazing bars. Right section -
no. 45, has on ground floor, 3 sash windows with glazing bars under stone
arches. Attic has 2 pent-roofed ½-dormers with sashes with glazing bars.
Internally, main ground floor room has large open fireplace with timber
lintol and bread oven. Some exposed ceiling beams. Cast iron pump in front
of house. RCHM Monument 20. (Dorset Vol. II).
