SZ 0382 STUDLAND HEATH GREEN ROAD (North Side)

8/84 No. 23, The Green

GV II

Detached cottage. Probably late C18. Colourwashed rubble stone walls,
thatched roof, hipped at left end. Brick stack at right end. One storey
and attic. C20 single-storey extension at left end, with plastered walls
and corrugated asbestos roof. C20 timber extension at right end, incorporating
a porch. Ledged door. Ground floor has one casement and one horizontally
sliding sash window, both with horizontal glazing bars. Attic has one
dormer with casements with glazing bars. Some exposed ceiling beams. Main
ground floor room has large open fireplace, part built up, with externally
projecting bread oven. Roof structure appears original. A National Trust
property. RCHM Monument II. (Dorset Vol. II).
